Sailors Grave Brewing

is at its heart a farmhouse brewery located in the lee of the tertiary & secondary dunes between Marlo & Cape Conran.

Our beers are unique, sometimes challenging but always with nuance & subtle layers of complexity. We make hand crafted, artisanal beers that explore a ever changing selection of styles with a diverse array of farmed and foraged ingredients that showcase the “terroir” of place and are an expression of our areas agricultural & maritime history and the pristine wilderness that we call home.

We found Joe after months of searching the internet world, looking, stalking, pondering. We were looking for something that said Sailors Grave.....and he looked like he spoke our language! We invited him to come and stay with us for a while, we shared beer, our love of whales and a deeper understanding of what Sailors Grave is, but most importantly what it looked like!

KATHLEEN NEELEY

Kathleen Neeley is an artist specializing in relief printmaking and illustration. She received a B.F.A. and M.A. from the University of Oklahoma. Her work is influenced by nature, fiction, music, medieval and ancient art, myths, ukiyo-e, folk art, and the decorative arts. It interprets personal and some less personal subjects—our ongoing climate crisis, for one—as characters in the myths and rituals of a fictional culture.

Dark emu - it is returned!

You may or may not have seen our full page Andrew Bolt article eight months ago, we had the pleasure of being given the bolt treatment for our dark emu ~ dark lager beer.

It’s not really our style to engage in mud slinging nor did we really want to get caught up with Andrew Bolt but we penned a statement at the time, and if you interested in our dark emu journey here is our story….
